Q: Can familiy and friends send me an e-mail onboard?
A: Family and friends may reach you onboard by sending an e-mail to you using the following formula: firstinitiallastnamesuitenumber@shipname.cruisemail.net. So a guest named John Doe sailing in suite 825 onboard Seven Seas Voyager could be reached at jdoe825@voyager.cruisemail.net. The domain names for Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Navigator are @mariner.cruisemail.net and @navigator.cruisemail.net respectively. There is a nominal fee for e-mails sent and received.
Q: Can I send mail onboard?
A: Outbound mail service and postage are available on all ships at a nominal charge.
Q: Are there beauty/barber services available?
A: Beauty salon services and spa services including manicures, pedicures, facials and a variety of spa treatments are available by appointment on all ships. Unfortunately, to ensure proper scheduling, these services may not be pre-arranged. However, once on board, the ship's dedicated staff will make every effort to accommodate your schedule.
Q: Are laundry/valet services available?
A: Laundry and valet services, including pressing and dry cleaning, are available with charge and may be arranged through your Stewardess. On board Seven Seas Navigator, Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager, self-service laundries including irons and ironing boards are located on select guest decks.
Q: Should I tip onboard?
A: Gratuities are included in the cruise fare for all Regent employees. If guests feel strongly about expressing their gratitude to the crew, they should be encouraged to make a donation to the Crew Welfare Fund at the Purser Office. This money is utilized for crew parties and events.
Q: Do you offer medical services?
A: Each ship has a licensed and registered doctor and nurse for professional and emergency services, which are available at customary charges. The ships' medical centers are designed to provide medical care for certain temporary illnesses and accidents, and are not intended or capable of providing on-going treatment of pre-existing medical conditions. For guests requiring oxygen equipment, an oxygen concentrator is the only form of oxygen equipment allowed aboard ship, and must be provided by the guest. RSSC wheelchairs on board are for emergency purposes only.
Q: Is Internet access available?
A: Computer centers are centrally-located on each ship. Wireless access is available throughout the ship, including most suites. Internet access is available for a nominal fee.
Q: Are business services available?
A: Business equipment is available, including fax machine and copy services. Fax reception is complimentary; fax transmission and ship-to-shore phone calls are available at standard tariffs. For a nominal fee, guests may send or receive e-mail via computers on board.
Q: Valuables
A: Each stateroom or suite is equipped with a personal safe. Regent Seven Seas Cruises is not responsible for any personal articles such as money, jewelry, cameras, binoculars, documents or any other items, which you retain personally or in your stateroom or suite.
Q: Do you provide wheelchairs to passengers?
A: No, guests need to provide their own wheelchairs, except in an emergency.
Q: How can I give someone a gift onboard?
A: We're delighted to assist you. From chocolate-dipped strawberries to a bottle of Dom Perignon, Regent has a very fine selection of attractively boxed gift items that bear the Regent logo. Click here for a faxable gift form (PDF).
Q: Is there shopping onboard?
A: The ships' boutiques offer a selection of designer fashions, perfumes and Regent Seven Seas Cruises logo items. Toiletries and convenience items are also available for purchase. The boutiques may be closed occasionally while in port due to local government regulations.
Q: What is the dress code onboard the ships?
A: Attire ranges from Casual to Formal Optional. Casual wear is appropriate for daytime onboard or ashore, and consists of resort-style outfits. Casual wear, including shorts and jeans, is not appropriate after 6:00 pm, with the exception of the final evening of the cruise. On the night prior to disembarkation, guests may need to pack their luggage early due to morning flights the next day. With this in mind on the last night of every voyage we will relax the dress code for dinner to Casual.
The recommended onboard dress in the evenings is Elegant Casual resort wear. Formal and semi-formal attire is optional on sailings of 16 nights or more. Dinner dress includes skirt, or slacks with blouse or sweater, pant suit or dress for ladies; slacks and collared shirt for gentlemen. Sport jackets are optional. Jeans, shorts, t-shirts or tennis shoes are not to be worn at dinner. Ties are not required.
Q: What is your smoking policy?
A: In light of continuing legislative changes in smoking policies around the world as well as the comfort, health and safety of our guests and crew, both in terms of the proven dangers of second hand smoke and the fire hazard that smoking presents, smoking is prohibited in all suites, staterooms and balconies fleet-wide.
In addition, cigarette smoking is not permitted in any enclosed dining areas, whether it be the ships' main dining rooms or the alternate dining venues. Cigarette smoking is only permitted in designated areas of the outdoor Pool Grills. Other than open deck areas, the following are the only public rooms or areas where cigarette smoking is now permitted:
Seven Seas Voyager: Connoisseur Club, Casino, Voyager Lounge (designated area), Horizon Lounge (outside area only), Pool Bar
Seven Seas Mariner: Connoisseur Club, Casino, Horizon Lounge (outside area only), Stars Nightclub (designated area), Pool Bar
Seven Seas Navigator: Connoisseur Club, Casino, Stars Lounge (designated area), Galileo's (outside area only), Pool Bar
Pipe smoking is only permitted in the Connoisseur Club. Pipe smoking in open deck areas is considered an extreme fire hazard and is not permitted. Cigar smoking is only permitted in the Connoisseur Club, and in the designated area of the Pool Bar area.
Failure to comply with this ban will result in guests being asked to leave the ship at their expense, without refund or credit for the unused portion of their cruise.
Q: What is "open seating?"
A: You can dine whenever, wherever and with whomever you choose during regular dining hours. In some of the alternative restaurants, reservations are recommended.
Q: Are there special activities for children?
A: Our Club Mariner program is designed for age groups 5-8, 9-12 and 13-17, and is supervised by specially trained counselors. Club Mariner is available on select sailings only. Please ask your travel professional for details.
